Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup light Karo syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon maple extract
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan, then mix in sugar, Karo syrup, vanilla, maple extract, and salt.
  • Sprinkle flour over mixture and mix until smooth, then cool slightly.
  • Whisk in room temperature eggs one at a time until the mixture is glossy.
  • Fold in chopped pecans, ensuring even distribution in the filling.
  • Pour filling into the prepared pie crust and bake for 50-60 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Make sure your eggs and butter are at room temperature for best mixing results.
For a nuttier flavor, consider toasting the pecans before adding them to the filling.
If using a homemade pie crust, ensure it is well chilled for best results.
