Description

This 7 Layer Salad combines layers of fresh ingredients for a colorful, flavorful dish perfect for gatherings. Enjoy the crunch of lettuce, the sweetness of peas, and the creaminess of mayonnaise—it’s a delightful way to serve veggies!


Ingredients

  • 4 cups iceberg lettuce chopped
  • 16 ounces frozen peas thawed
  • ¼ cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 cup bacon crumbled
  • 6 hard boiled eggs chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded


Instructions

  1. Spread chopped lettuce in the bottom of a trifle bowl or a 9 x 13 inch glass dish.
  2. Top with peas, onion, celery, bacon, and hard-boiled eggs.
  3. Spread mayonnaise over the top of the vegetables and sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Spread cheddar cheese over the top.
  5. Cover the glass dish or seal with plastic wrap, then refrigerate for 6 hours or up to 24 hours.
  6. Toss before serving if desired.

Notes

For an even creamier texture, use more mayonnaise to taste.
