Description

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter or mayo
  • 2-3 slices cheese (sharp cheddar, American, provolone, Swiss, gouda, or a combo)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice. Place one slice butter-side down, layer cheese on top, keeping it away from the edges. Top with the second slice, butter-side up, and gently press together.
  3. Insert a toothpick through the center to secure the sandwich.
  4. Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 370°F for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes until both sides are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from the air fryer, take out the toothpick, slice, serve, and enjoy!
