Description

Enjoy mouthwatering Air Fryer Scallops, featuring tender seafood seasoned to perfection. This dish is quick to prepare and ideal for healthy meals or a quick dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs frozen sea scallops thawed per package directions
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp seafood seasoning i.e. old bay seasoning or seafood magic
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper or black pepper adjust pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • fresh parsley and lemon slices for garnishing


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (or heat for 4 minutes if there’s no preheat option).
  2. Thaw scallops as directed on the package and pat dry with paper towels, removing the tough side muscle.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, seafood seasoning, seasoned salt, lemon pepper (or black pepper), and garlic. Brush this mixture over the scallops on all sides.
  4. Line the air fryer basket with a paper liner or spray with cooking spray.
  5. Place the scallops in a single layer, ensuring space between each one. Cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. If smaller, check at 8 minutes. The scallops should be opaque throughout with a golden brown crust at an internal temperature of 125-130°F.
  7. Serve immediately with garnishes of fresh parsley and lemon slices.

Notes

Make sure the scallops are completely thawed for even cooking.
Adjust seasonings based on your taste preferences for added flavor.
