Description

This Banana Bread Latte mixes the essence of banana bread with espresso and frothed milk, creating a comforting drink that’s simple to prepare and deliciously satisfying. Perfect for anyone craving a unique beverage!


Ingredients

  • 1 large very ripe banana mashed
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 shots of espresso
  • 2 cups milk of choice


Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the mashed banana, brown sugar, and water to make the syrup.
  • Allow the mixture to come to a simmer, cooking for 7-8 minutes until it thickens and bubbles.
  • Mix in the cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, stirring well.
  • Pour the syrup into a blender and blend until smooth or strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove lumps.
  • Brew the espresso, then stir in 3 tablespoons of the syrup into the espresso.
  • Heat the milk and pour ½ to ¾ cup into each glass.
  • Froth any remaining milk and spoon it over each latte.
  • Finish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon on top.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use almond or oat milk in place of regular milk.
Adjust the sweetness to your liking by varying the amount of brown sugar in the syrup.
This latte is best enjoyed immediately after preparation.
