Description

This easy Black Eyed Peas dish is a deliciously flavorful comfort food, perfect for a healthy meal or quick dinner. Made with simple ingredients like dried black eyed peas and vegetable stock, it offers a satisfying taste that’s hard to resist!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried black eyed peas
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups vegetable stock
  • 1 tablespoon dan-o's seasoning
  • pinch of salt


Instructions

  • Add Black Eyed Peas, water, stock, seasoning, and salt to an Instant Pot and stir.
  • Secure lid on Instant Pot and close. Set to PRESSURE COOK/MANUAL for 15 minutes or 17 minutes for softer peas. After the timer goes off, allow steam to release naturally for 15 minutes.
  • Remove lid and stir beans. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
  • For a thicker consistency, mash a small spoonful of peas back into the broth and stir.

For best flavor, adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
Allow the dish to sit for a while before serving to enhance the flavors.
