Description

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into 1/2" pieces
  • 2 tablespoons neutral oil
  • 1 cup roasted, unsalted cashews
  • 2 thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic and sauté for another minute.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and toss to coat.
  6. Add cashews, green onions, and sesame seeds. Stir to combine and heat through.
  7. Serve hot, enjoying the flavorful meal.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes to the sauce.
Substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts for a leaner option.
