Description

Cheese Popcorn is a tasty snack that combines fluffy popcorn with rich cheddar flavor and buttery goodness. Perfect for movie nights or any snack time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • Unrefined coconut oil
  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup cheddar cheese powder
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt

Instructions

  • Heat a large pot over medium heat and add coconut oil.
  • Test oil temperature with a few kernels; add remaining kernels once hot.
  • Cover the pot with a lid, slightly ajar, and shake to prevent burning.
  • Once popping slows, turn off heat and let sit covered for a minute.
  • Transfer popcorn to a bowl, drizzle with melted butter, and toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle cheddar cheese powder and salt, tossing until evenly coated.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
For longer freshness, refrigerate in a sealed bag for up to a week.
Consider freezing for up to three months and re-crisping in the oven.
