Description

This Chicken Broccoli Casserole offers an irresistible combination of tender chicken and fresh broccoli smothered in creamy sauce, topped with melted cheese and crunchy breadcrumbs. Perfect for a quick dinner or a comforting meal at home.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, cooked and diced, or shredded
  • 1 (10-12-ounce) package frozen broccoli
  • 2 (10.5-ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • ⅓ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoon butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the broccoli as directed and place it at the bottom of a 9×13 pan.
  3. Layer the cooked chicken over the broccoli.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and cheddar cheese until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the chicken.
  5. Combine melted butter and bread crumbs in a Ziploc bag and mix well. Sprinkle this mixture over the creamy layer.
  6. Bake in the oven for 35 minutes or until it is heated through.

Notes

Feel free to use fresh broccoli instead of frozen for a fresher taste.
This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge until ready to bake.
For added flavor, consider mixing in a dash of garlic powder or seasoning of your choice.
