- 1 cup sugar
- 6 t cocoa powder
- ½ cup water hot
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium pot, combine cocoa powder and sugar.
- Gradually add hot water while stirring.
- Stir until the mixture is well combined. Then, add light corn syrup while keeping the burner on medium heat.
- Continuously stir while bringing the mixture to a boil until it reaches the soft ball stage.
- Once it reaches the right temperature, remove from heat and mix in the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract.
- Allow the sauce to cool for about 30 minutes before whisking it.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 1 ½ hours. Serve over ice cream or other desserts.
Notes
Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
