Description

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

  • Red food coloring
  • Green food coloring


Instructions

  • Soften butter and cream with sugar until fluffy.

  • In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients, adding milk until mixed.
  • Divide dough into three parts; color two with red and green food coloring, leave one plain.
  • Roll out each color into thick disks and chill for 1 hour.
  • Layer the colored doughs, roll tightly into a log, and chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F, line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Slice the chilled dough into 1/4 inch thick rounds and bake for 9-11 minutes.

Notes
