Description

Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Streusel topping: ½ cup all-purpose flour, ⅓ cup brown sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray.
  • Whisk together flour and baking powder in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in another bowl for cinnamon sugar.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk eggs and brown sugar until smooth, then add milk, oil, sour cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Fold flour mixture into wet ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
  • Layer one-third of batter in the loaf pan, sprinkle with one-third of the cinnamon sugar, and repeat until all batter and sugar are used.
  • For streusel, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until clumpy; sprinkle over batter.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Make sure your eggs and milk are at room temperature for best results.
Store any leftover bread wrapped tightly at room temperature for up to 3 days.
For a richer flavor, consider adding nutmeg or chopped nuts.
