Description

This Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball offers a delightful mix of cream cheese, cheddar, cranberries, and pecans. Easy to prepare, it’s perfect for gatherings and provides a tasty snack for all occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup dried cranberries, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, 1/2 cup chopped dried cranberries, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, and 1 tbsp chopped chives.
  • Scrape down the sides of the bowl, bringing the mixture to the center to form about 3 cups.
  • Set out a piece of 10" x 10" plastic wrap.
  • Using greased hands, form the cream cheese mixture into a ball and place it onto the plastic wrap. Bring the edges of the plastic wrap around the cheese ball to seal it.
  • Let chill in the refrigerator until firm.
  • On a plate, combine 1/2 cup chopped dried cranberries, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, and 1 tbsp chopped chives.
  • Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and unwrap it.
  • Roll the cheese ball into the mixture on the plate, pressing slightly to cover it entirely.
  • Let sit at room temperature to soften for about 20 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with crackers.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened for easier mixing.
Any leftover cheese ball can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
