Crispy Korean Beef Pockets are a flavorful and simple dish perfect for a quick dinner. With tender ground beef, rich sauces, and gooey mozzarella, it’s a must-try!

- ½ tablespoon canola oil, or vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup orange juice
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce, plus more for drizzling on top
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil, toasted
- ½ tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 tortillas, large, cut in half
- 1 cups mozzarella, grated
- 1 green onion, finely sliced
- sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with oil. Add beef and garlic, cooking and breaking it up until browned.
- In a medium bowl, mix the sauce ingredients. Pour over the meat and cook until slightly thickened.
- Preheat the oven to 350℉ and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- If tortillas are stiff, lightly dip them in water and cut in half.
- Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla half. Top with mozzarella and fold into triangles.
- Arrange on the tray, sprinkle with extra mozzarella, and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Drizzle with sweet chili sauce and sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, ensure tortillas are baked until deeply golden.
Feel free to add veggies like bell peppers or spinach to the beef mixture for added nutrition.
