Description

This Crispy Pretzel Salad combines crunchy pretzels, creamy filling, and fresh strawberries for a delightful treat. Perfect for a quick dessert or a tasty side dish, it’s an easy-to-make recipe that brings joy to any table.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ¾ cup melted salted butter
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8-ounce) container thawed whipped topping
  • 2 cups diced fresh strawberries


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the crushed pretzels, chopped pecans, melted butter, and brown sugar. Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 7-8 minutes, until the mixture is bubbling and browned. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until just combined.
  6. Crush the cooled pretzel mixture into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Just before serving, fold the crushed pretzels and diced strawberries into the cream cheese mixture.

Notes

For an extra crunch, use a mix of different nuts.
Ensure the pretzels cool before crushing to maintain their texture.
