Description

Crock pot ranch chicken is an easy, delicious meal that’s perfect for busy nights. With tender chicken, creamy sauce, and irresistible flavor, it’s comfort food at its best!


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 (1-oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • ½ cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon cold water (optional)
  • Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish
  • ½ cup crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

  • Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper over the chicken.
  • Pour in chicken broth.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 2½-3 hours until tender.
  • Shred chicken in the cooker and mix in cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  • Optional: Mix cornstarch and water, add to the cooker, and cook on high for 10 minutes for a thicker sauce.
  • Top with crumbled bacon or cheddar cheese and let melt, then garnish with parsley or green onions.

Notes

Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
Frozen chicken is acceptable; just increase cooking time by about an hour.
