- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 cup milk, add to desired consistency
- chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Wash the potatoes and place them in a large crock pot with the skin on.
- Add whole garlic cloves and chicken broth to the pot.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 4-5 hours until the potatoes are fork-tender.
- Add sour cream, butter, salt, pepper, and oregano to the cooked potatoes.
- Mash the mixture with a potato masher, blending in butter, sour cream, and seasonings.
- Stir in milk gradually until reaching the desired consistency, adjusting seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
Notes
For creamier mashed potatoes, add more milk until the desired consistency is achieved.
Chopped fresh parsley adds a nice touch as a garnish before serving.
