Description

These Curried Sausage Rolls are a delightful blend of spices wrapped in flaky pastry. Simple to make and perfect for parties or as a cozy snack, they’re sure to impress your guests!


Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound pork mince
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce or passata
  • 3 tablespoons fine dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cilantro
  • 11 ounces (320 grams) puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg yolk, for glazing


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent.
  • Combine the onion mixture with pork mince, egg, tomato sauce, breadcrumbs, and spices in a bowl. Mix well.
  • Roll out puff pastry and cut into rectangles.
  • Place filling down the center, fold and seal edges.
  • Brush with egg yolk and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

These rolls can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Freeze the rolls for up to 3 months, reheating directly from frozen.
Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for best mixing.
