- 1 1/2 cups roasted sliced almonds unsalted
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
- 10 oz dark chocolate
Instructions
- Combine the maple syrup and coconut oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until well mixed and bubbly.
- Allow it to boil for 3 minutes until reduced by one-third, stirring occasionally.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of flaky salt and the sliced almonds, stirring to combine.
- Spread the coated almonds on a prepared baking sheet and let them dry completely.
- Prepare another parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water until nearly melted.
- Remove from heat and stir until smooth and fully melted.
- Fold 2/3 of the candied almonds into the melted chocolate mixture, then spread it onto the parchment paper.
- Scatter the remaining candied almonds over the top and sprinkle with the remaining salt.
- Allow the chocolate bark to harden in the fridge or freezer before breaking it into pieces.
