Description

Ditalini Pasta brings together rich flavors and simple preparation to create a delightful dish. With creamy cheeses, garlic, and fresh herbs, it’s the perfect comfort food for a quick dinner or a cozy meal at home.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 medium garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups uncooked ditalini pasta
  • 3 cups chicken stock or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese plus additional for garnishing
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded asiago cheese
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • fresh thyme and crushed red pepper flakes for garnishing


Instructions

  • Melt butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the uncooked ditalini pasta, coating it with the garlic-butter mixture.
  • Pour in chicken stock and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium, and simmer for 8-10 minutes until pasta is tender and most liquid is absorbed.
  • Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Asiago cheese, stirring until melted and combined.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes to taste.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and fresh thyme or parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, use homemade chicken stock.
Ensure not to overcook the pasta to maintain its texture.
