  • Macaroni (12 ounces)
  • Butter (4 tablespoons)
  • Yellow Onion (1, diced)
  • All-Purpose Flour (1 tablespoon)
  • Mustard Powder (¼ teaspoon)
  • Black Pepper (¼ teaspoon)
  • Additional Salt (½ teaspoon for roux)
  • Whole Milk (1½ cups)
  • Gouda Cheese (8 ounces, shredded)
  • Cheddar Cheese (2 ounces, shredded)
  • Topping Gouda Cheese (4-6 ounces)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a baking dish with butter.
  • Boil water, add kosher salt, and cook macaroni until al dente, then drain.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan, sauté diced onion until translucent.
