- 12 slider buns (small dinner rolls)
- 12 slices deli ham
- 12 slices cheddar cheese
- 12 slices swiss cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
- 1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping them together if possible. Place the bottom halves of the buns in the baking dish.
- Layer the ham slices over the bottom buns. Top with cheddar cheese slices, then Swiss cheese slices. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, poppy seeds if using, and salt. Stir well. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with foil. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until tops are golden.
- Let cool for a couple of minutes. Slice between buns and serve warm.
Notes
You can add different types of cheese for varied flavor.
For a spicier option, incorporate some sliced jalapeños with the ham.
These sliders can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking.
