Description

This Heart Skillet Cookie is a delightful treat, featuring a rich flavor and simple preparation with ingredients like butter, brown sugar, and chocolate chips. Perfect for sharing and celebrating special moments!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50g) packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup (130g) semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 7-inch heart-shaped skillet or pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk the melted butter with granulated and brown sugars until creamy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract thoroughly.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
  • Fold in half of the chocolate chips, then spread the mix evenly in the skillet, topping with the remaining chips.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is soft. Optionally, press heart-shaped marshmallows on top after baking.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, with optional vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Ensure the skillet is properly greased for easy removal after baking.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
For a festive touch, use colored chocolate or candies on top.
