Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ounces blue cheese crumbles
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon dried dill
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon sugar
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- buttermilk, milk, or water, as necessary to thin
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, lemon juice, dill, garlic powder, sugar, and several grinds of black pepper. Stir well, breaking up the blue cheese crumbles as you mix.
- If the dressing is too thick, add buttermilk, milk, or water gradually, one teaspoon at a time, until reaching your desired consistency. Use less liquid for a thicker dip and more for a pourable dressing.
- Store leftover dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. It may thicken; add milk or water to thin before use.
Notes
Adjust the thickness of the dressing according to your preference by modifying the amount of liquid added.
Feel free to add additional herbs or spices based on your taste.
This dressing pairs excellently with crisp salads or as a dip for fresh veggies.
