Description

This honey glazed ham boasts an irresistible flavor and an easy preparation process. With key ingredients like honey and brown sugar, it’s perfect for family meals or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup honey (170g)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar (packed, 50g)
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard (5g)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (0.18 oz.)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (freshly cracked)
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 lb. fully cooked smoked ham (boneless and spiral cut)
  • ½ inch water

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cinnamon. Heat over medium until sugar is dissolved and glaze thickens slightly.
  3. Place the ham cut side down in a 9×13 casserole dish. Brush half the glaze over the ham.
  4. Pour ½ inch of water into the bottom of the pan around the ham.
  5. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 18-20 minutes per pound, basting once or twice with pan juices. For a 4lb boneless smoked ham, bake for about 1 hour & 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 140°F.
  6. Remove the foil for the last 20-30 minutes of baking and brush with remaining glaze every 10 minutes to achieve a golden-brown, sticky crust.
  7. Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Spoon any extra glaze over slices when serving.

Notes

Ensure the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F for optimal flavor.
Baste the ham periodically to enhance the glaze and moisture.
Allowing the ham to rest before slicing helps keep it juicy.
