Description

These Hot Pepper Jelly Glazed Wings are coated in a delightful blend of spices and drizzled with sticky hot pepper jelly, making them the perfect addition to any casual meal or gathering. Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt (use half this amount if using table salt)
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 ½3 pounds chicken wings (halved at joints, tips discarded)
  • ½ cup hot pepper jelly


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Place a wire rack on top and spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, then place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, smoked paprika, chili powder, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and cumin. Sprinkle this seasoning over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  • Arrange the wings on the wire rack in a single layer, making sure they do not touch. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes, or up to 1 hour for larger wings, until crispy and reaching an internal temperature of 165°F. Use the convection setting if available.
  • Take the wings out of the oven and transfer them to a large clean bowl. Add the hot pepper jelly and toss well, allowing the heat from the wings to melt the jelly into a sticky glaze. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispy wings, use the convection setting on your oven if available.
Feel free to adjust the amount of hot pepper jelly to suit your taste preference.
