- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4-5 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream, blending until smooth and creamy.
- Mix in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, chopped jalapenos, sliced green onions, most of the crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish and spread evenly. Top it with the reserved cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until it is hot, bubbly, and golden on top.
- Garnish with remaining jalapeno slices, green onions, and crumbled bacon before serving.
- Serve warm with toasted bread slices, baguette rounds, or tortilla chips.
Notes
For a spicier dip, leave some seeds in the jalapenos.
Feel free to replace bacon with a vegetarian alternative for a meatless version.
