Description
These Korean Sloppy Joes are packed with flavor and easy to make, featuring ground beef, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Perfect for a quick dinner or a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 14 oz ground beef
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 4 burger buns
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- green onions
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon until browned and fully cooked—about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and ketchup. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
- While the beef simmers, lightly toast the burger buns in a dry skillet or toaster.
- Spoon the saucy beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if using. Add the top bun and serve hot.
Notes
For an extra kick, add sriracha or chili flakes to the beef mixture.
Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
These Sloppy Joes are great for meal prep—store leftovers in an airtight container.
