Description

Marry Me Chicken brings together juicy chicken breasts in a luscious sauce made with garlic, cream, and parmesan. It’s simple to prepare, flavorful, and perfect for a quick dinner that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese shaved or shredded
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine 1/3 cup flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
  2. Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise. Dredge each cutlet in the flour mixture to coat well.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of salted butter and 2 tablespoons of sun-dried tomato oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and brown for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and cover with foil.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the pan with a wooden spoon to deglaze it.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, then simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring regularly until the sauce thickens.
  7. Stir in the seasonings and return the chicken to the skillet. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, add some smoked paprika to the flour mixture.
This dish pairs well with a side of pasta or a fresh salad.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
