Description

This Ninja Foodi Pulled Pork is irresistibly flavorful and easy to prepare. With tender pork shoulder infused with rich barbecue sauce, it’s ideal for a quick dinner or a comforting meal any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3-4 lbs pork shoulder, remove bone if present, cut into 4 equal pieces
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 12 oz barbecue sauce, or more at end
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, optional

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork into 4 equal pieces. In a bowl, combine salt, pepper, and paprika. Brush olive oil over the pork and rub the seasoning mixture all over each piece.
  2. Set the Ninja Foodi to sauté mode and sear the pork pieces lightly on all sides. Turn off the pot, then remove the meat. Deglaze the pot with a bit of beef broth to scrape off any stuck bits.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, optional brown sugar, and the remaining beef broth.
  4. Return the pork to the pot and pour the sauce on top.
  5. Close the lid and steam valve. Set to high pressure cook for 60 minutes with a 10-minute natural pressure release.
  6. After the natural release, release any remaining pressure and shred the meat inside the pot using two forks.
  7. Keep the lid off, set the pot to sauté mode, and allow the sauce to thicken by bubbling for about 5 minutes while stirring, until some liquid evaporates. Turn off the pot and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the pork marinate in the seasoning for an hour before cooking.
Adjust the amount of barbecue sauce to taste, and feel free to add more during serving if desired.
