Description

Oysters Kilpatrick offers a delightful mix of ocean-fresh oysters topped with crispy bacon and a tangy sauce. It’s a quick, impressive dish that’s perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Oysters (shucked)
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Sauce/Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 23 dashes Tabasco Sauce
  • 3 Rashers Shortcut Bacon (or 2 Rashers Middle Bacon, diced)
  • Fresh Parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  • Arrange the shucked oysters on a baking tray on a bed of rock salt or crumpled aluminum foil.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce.
  • Cook the diced bacon in a frying pan until crispy and golden.
  • Spoon the sauce mixture over each oyster, then sprinkle with crispy bacon.
  • Grill the tray for about 5-10 minutes, until bubbling and golden.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the oysters; they should remain tender.
Using fresh oysters ensures better texture and taste compared to frozen or canned.
Consider adding a squeeze of lemon before serving for extra zest.
