  • 1 cup (268g) creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups (452g) powdered sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoons (90ml) heavy whipping cream


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the creamy peanut butter and softened butter using a hand mixer until smooth, or use a stand mixer with a paddle attachment.
  2. Gradually mix in 1 cup of powdered sugar at a time until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  3. Add the salt and vanilla extract, and mix well. Then incorporate 1 tablespoon of heavy whipping cream.
  4. Continue to beat the frosting until it's smooth, adding more heavy whipping cream until you achieve your preferred consistency, typically around 6 tablespoons.
  5. Use the frosting to pipe or spread on your favorite desserts.

Notes

For a sweeter frosting, adjust the sugar amount as desired.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
