- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉ and prepare a 9×9-inch baking pan with baking spray and parchment paper.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat together sugars, eggs, and egg yolk until pale and fluffy.
- Mix in melted butter, oil, and vanilla extract, then fold in sifted dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
- Spread batter in the pan and bake for 40-50 minutes until edges are set.
- While cooling, prepare the pecan pie filling by melting butter and mixing in brown sugar, pecans, cream, spices, and salt over medium heat until thickened.
- Pour pecan filling over the brownies and let it cool before cutting into squares.
