Description

These Pecan Pie Brownies feature a delectable layer of pecan pie filling over fudgy brownies, making them a unique and comforting dessert perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉ and prepare a 9×9-inch baking pan with baking spray and parchment paper.
  • Sift together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl.
  • Beat together sugars, eggs, and egg yolk until pale and fluffy.
  • Mix in melted butter, oil, and vanilla extract, then fold in sifted dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
  • Spread batter in the pan and bake for 40-50 minutes until edges are set.
  • While cooling, prepare the pecan pie filling by melting butter and mixing in brown sugar, pecans, cream, spices, and salt over medium heat until thickened.
  • Pour pecan filling over the brownies and let it cool before cutting into squares.
