- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (thawed)
- ½ cup tomato pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or fresh mozzarella slices)
- 6–8 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 8–10 slices black olives
- ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
- 6–8 slices pepperoni or your choice of cured meat (optional)
- fresh basil leaves for garnish
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Unfold the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into four equal squares.
- Score about ½ inch inward along the edges of each square and place them on the baking sheet.
- Brush the edges with beaten egg, then spread about a tablespoon of tomato sauce inside each square's border.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the sauce, followed by halved cherry tomatoes, black olives, red onion, and optional pepperoni.
- Season with dried oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before garnishing with fresh basil and serving.

For a vegetarian version, skip the pepperoni and add more veggies instead.
