Description

These Rice Krispie Treats are irresistibly sweet and chewy, made with just three ingredients: butter, marshmallows, and rice krispies. They’re quick to prepare, making them a wonderful treat for gatherings or simply enjoying at home!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 (10 oz) bag marshmallows
  • 6 cups rice krispies cereal


Instructions

  • Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.
  • Add the marshmallows to the bowl and stir well.
  • Place the bowl in the microwave for 45 seconds, then remove and stir.
  • Return the bowl to the microwave and heat for another 45 seconds.
  • Remove from the microwave and stir again until smooth.
  • Add the rice krispies to the melted marshmallows and mix until fully combined.
  • Distribute the mixture evenly in the pan and press firmly.

Notes

For added flavor, consider drizzling chocolate on top once the treats have cooled.
Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness for several days.
You can substitute margarine for butter if desired.
