Description

These Roast Beef Sliders are a delightful blend of savory flavors featuring tender roast beef, gooey cheese, and caramelized onions. Perfect for a quick, satisfying meal or a gathering with friends, they promise mouthwatering bites every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns or small dinner rolls
  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef (preferably cooked and warm)
  • 6 slices provolone or swiss cheese (cut in halves)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary or fresh chopped rosemary
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • optional: horseradish sauce or mayonnaise for spreading

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the thinly sliced onions, garlic powder, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook the onions for about 8-10 minutes until softened and caramelized.
  • Cut the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottoms on a baking dish.
  • Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the buns.
  • Layer the warm roast beef slices on top of the onions.
  • Place the halved cheese slices over the roast beef.
  • Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and cover loosely with foil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes until the tops are golden.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, adding horseradish sauce or mayonnaise if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding jalapeños or spicy mustard.
These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving for convenience.
Feel free to use your favorite cheese for a custom flavor.
