Description

Enjoy this Silken Tofu Chocolate Mousse, a delightful blend of rich cocoa and creamy tofu. It’s simple to make, perfect for a quick dessert, and offers a deliciously healthy twist!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 12-oz package silken tofu, soft or firm silken both work, drained if water-packed
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup, adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted and warm
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch kosher salt


Instructions

  • Combine the silken tofu, cocoa powder, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and salt in a high-speed blender.
  • Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness with more maple syrup if desired, or add more cocoa powder for a richer flavor, then blend briefly.
  • Spoon the mousse into 4 small serving bowls or glasses, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and texture to firm up.
  • Serve with fresh berries, coconut whipped cream, cocoa nibs, or shaved dark chocolate.

Notes

Ensure the tofu is well-drained if using water-packed tofu for a creamier texture.
This mousse can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
