- 2 pounds steak cut into bite size pieces (sirloin, london broil, chuck roast or stew beef)
- 1 cup dr. pepper
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ brown sugar
- ½ cup bbq sauce
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium high heat, sear the steak bites for a few seconds on each side to achieve some color.
- Transfer the seared steak bites into the slow cooker.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Dr. Pepper, honey, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, worcestershire sauce, garlic, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the steak bites in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the steak bites are tender enough to be pierced with a fork.
- If the sauce is too thin at the end of cooking, mix the water and cornstarch in a separate bowl, then stir it into the sauce to thicken.
- Serve warm!
Notes
Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey and brown sugar according to your taste.
