Description

These Soft and Chewy Monster Cookies combine peanut butter, oats, and vibrant M&Ms into delightful treats that bring joy and nostalgia to any gathering.


Ingredients

  • Salted Butter (1 cup/2 sticks)
  • Brown Sugar (1 cup)
  • White Sugar (3/4 cup)
  • Peanut Butter (1 cup)
  • Eggs (2)
  • Vanilla Extract (1 teaspoon)
  • Flour (1 ½ cups)
  • Baking Soda (2 teaspoons)
  • Salt (1 teaspoon)
  • Quick Oats (1 cup)
  • Old-Fashioned Oats (1/2 cup)
  • M&Ms (2 cups; plus more for topping)
  • Candy Eyes (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  • Beat softened butter in a bowl for 2 minutes until creamy.
  • Add brown sugar and white sugar, plus peanut butter. Beat until fluffy.
  • Mix in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda, then gently incorporate into the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in quick oats, old-fashioned oats, and M&Ms until just combined.
  • Chill dough for at least 1 hour, preferably up to 3 hours or overnight.
  • Scoop dough into 2-inch balls on baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm but centers are shiny.
  • Add extra M&Ms and candy eyes on top before cooling on a wire rack.
