Description

Spaghetti Hamburger Helper combines the flavors of seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, and a cheesy sauce, making it an easy and satisfying meal perfect for a quick dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1 ½ teaspoons montreal steak seasoning
  • 24 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or colby-jack cheese
  • optional garnish – minced parsley and grated parmesan

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and diced onions. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  2. Add Montreal steak seasoning, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir for a few seconds to coat the meat.
  3. Pour in the jar of spaghetti sauce and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
  4. Break the spaghetti into thirds and add to the sauce, ensuring the pasta is submerged.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. When the pasta is tender, mix in the milk and shredded cheese. Remove from heat and cover for 5 minutes to rest.
  7. Optional: Top with minced parsley and grated parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

For a smoother texture, grate the onion instead of dicing it.
Feel free to substitute with your favorite ground meat for variety.
The dish can be made ahead and reheated for a quick meal.
