- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 ½ teaspoons montreal steak seasoning
- 24 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
- 3 cups beef broth
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or colby-jack cheese
- optional garnish – minced parsley and grated parmesan
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and diced onions. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Add Montreal steak seasoning, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir for a few seconds to coat the meat.
- Pour in the jar of spaghetti sauce and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
- Break the spaghetti into thirds and add to the sauce, ensuring the pasta is submerged.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- When the pasta is tender, mix in the milk and shredded cheese. Remove from heat and cover for 5 minutes to rest.
- Optional: Top with minced parsley and grated parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
For a smoother texture, grate the onion instead of dicing it.
Feel free to substitute with your favorite ground meat for variety.
The dish can be made ahead and reheated for a quick meal.
