- 12 ounces frozen edamame in pods
- 1/2 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh garlic grated
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sambal oelek or sriracha
- 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons honey
- toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a pot. Add edamame pods and cook for 2 minutes. Drain and place on a paper towel to remove excess water.
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add grated garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute while stirring constantly.
- Stir in soy sauce, sambal oelek, sesame oil, and honey. Simmer the mixture for 1 minute.
- Place cooked edamame in a bowl and pour the sauce over it. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve garnished with sesame seeds.
Notes
For added flavor, substitute sambal oelek with your favorite hot sauce.
Ensure to drain the edamame well for the best texture in the dish.
