Description

Surf And Turf features succulent lobster tails, shrimp, and tender filet mignon in a delightful garlic herb butter. This quick meal is easy to prepare, making it perfect for a special occasion or a cozy dinner at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lobster tails, split lengthwise
  • 4 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 filet mignon steaks (6-8 oz each)
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional for lobster/shrimp seasoning)

Instructions

  • Season the lobster tails and shrimp with salt, black pepper, and paprika if desired. Set them aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Pat the steaks dry, season with salt and pepper, and sear for about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let the steaks rest.
  • In the same skillet, place the lobster tails flesh side down and cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2 minutes per side.
  • Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir until fragrant, roughly 1 minute. Incorporate lemon juice and chopped parsley into the mixture.
  • Briefly return the steak, lobster tails, and shrimp to the skillet to coat them with the garlic herb butter. Plate the dish and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure seafood is fresh for the best taste.
Resting the steak after cooking allows for better juiciness.
Adjust seasoning according to personal preference.
