Description

Swiss Chicken Bake is a delightful dish that features tender chicken breasts layered with creamy Swiss cheese and topped with a savory stuffing mix.   • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, about 1 ½ pounds
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • ⅓ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 ½ cups herb stuffing mix
  • ¼ cup melted salted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Arrange the chicken breasts in the bottom of the baking dish and place the Swiss cheese slices on top.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and onion powder, then spread the mixture evenly over the chicken and cheese.
  4. In another medium bowl, combine the herb stuffing mix with melted butter, then spread the stuffing evenly over the chicken mixture.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the stuffing is golden brown.

Notes

Feel free to substitute the Swiss cheese with your favorite cheese for a different flavor.
