Description

Taco Mac And Cheese takes classic comfort food to a new level with its savory blend of taco-spiced ground beef, creamy cheese, and zesty rotel. This dish serves as a quick and satisfying dinner that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 ounce box mac and cheese
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 10 ounce can rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix

Instructions

  • Prepare the macaroni and cheese according to package directions, keeping it in the large pot afterward.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add the taco seasoning, tomato sauce, and Rotel to the beef. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until thickened.
  • Combine the taco meat mixture with the prepared mac and cheese and stir well. Serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to add your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, or jalapeños.
Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
This dish is great for meal prep; it keeps well in the refrigerator for a few days.
