Description

This Teriyaki Sauce is rich in flavor, easy to prepare, and a must-have for enhancing your meals. With soy sauce and ginger at its core, enjoy this delicious sauce in a variety of dishes, bringing a homemade touch to your dinners.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup mirin
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together all the ingredients for the sauce.
  2. Heat over medium-high heat until it reaches a boil.
  3. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until it thickens.
  4. Remove from heat, optionally strain to discard garlic and ginger pieces.
  5. Cover and store it in the refrigerator.

Notes

This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Adjust the sweetness or saltiness by modifying the sugar or soy sauce amounts.
