- Powdered Sugar

- Cornflake Crumbs
- Medium Apples
- Granulated Sugar

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a 10 x 15 x 1 sheet pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, Crisco, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk egg yolk with milk until smooth.
- Combine egg mixture with dry ingredients to form dough.
- Roll out the larger dough portion and place it in the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle cornflake crumbs over the dough.
- Mix sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon, then layer them on top of the crust.
- Roll out the remaining dough and place it over the apple filling; cut slits for steam to escape.
- Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool the pie and drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
Notes
Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for the best flavor.
Prepare the dough ahead of time for easier assembly.
